The sanctioned strength in BA Ist year is 240 but actual strength is 370 and the total strength of the students is 778. The department has been providing not only academic guidance to the students but also making them responsible citizens and better human beings. The department annually holds workshops, quiz competitions, activities under SVEEP, Constitution Day, Human Rights Day and career guidance for students under ‘Young Political Scientist’s Club’ which came into being in 2017.
